We are delighted to announce that the 45th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Comparative Physiology and Biochemistry (JSCPB2023) will be jointly hosted by the Graduate School of Science at Osaka University, and held at the Toyonaka Campus of Osaka University from December 2nd (Sat.) to 3rd (Sun.), 2023. Over the past three years, our society has successfully held conferences in Yamagata, Sapporo, and Kochi, each with their own unique adaptations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling us to maintain our academic activities. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those involved in these conferences. As daily life begins to return to normal, JSCPB2023 will include a long-awaited in-person reception, as well as a regular program. The first day’s symposium will be held as an open lecture, allowing the general public to experience the fascination of comparative physiology and biochemistry, and enabling our members to enjoy the latest research. The venue at Toyonaka Campus is easily accessible, only 25 minutes by Osaka monorail from Itami Airport, and 50 minutes from Shin-Osaka Station. The venue, the University Hall ‘Daigaku Kaikan’, is a registered tangible cultural property of Japan, and both the poster session venue and the auditorium are beautifully designed. We warmly welcome you to Osaka, to ensure that you can enjoy discussions and exchanging ideas. The organizing committee is doing our utmost to prepare for JSCPB2023 and we look forward to seeing you there.
